for a job well done
Bicyclists can show their appreciation by sending
a thank you note or making a phone call to Texas State
Representative Linda Harper-Brown and Texas State
Senators Bob Deuell and Jeff Wentworth. These elected
officials fought for the passage of HB 2971 down to
the last minute of the 78th Texas Legislature. Texas
cyclists wouldn't have a Share the Road license plate
without their help.
In
your letter or phone call, tell them you're a cyclist
and thank them for their hard work on HB 2971. Specifically
mention the section on "Share the Road"
which will promote motorist and bicyclist education
and the "God Bless Texas" and "God
Bless America" license plates which will fund
the Texas
Safe Routes to School program.
